i went to my interview and i do not feel like it went badly at all but i feel terrible and like throwing up for some reason
"We dated in high school, but just recently got back together."
"What happened in high school?"
"I sort of disappeared on him. I had to leave school suddenly because I was pregnant."
"But he wasn’t the father?"
"So where’s the dad now?”
"I’m not going to be the kind of mom who makes her daughter’s dad out to be a monster, but I eventually decided that it wasn’t my job to force anybody to be a father."
"Tell me one thing that you weren’t taught that you’re going to teach your daughter."
"That just because you love someone, doesn’t mean they can make you happy. And you should never compromise with your happiness."
"So what did you compromise?"
"I compromised everything about myself to try to keep my family together."
"We’d been having a sort of tacit conversation about it for a couple years. Then one day, his sister, who already knew, was teasing him about having a crush on a boy at school. And I heard him say: ‘Well, maybe it’s true!’ So I said: ‘Son, we’ve never really talked about this. Are you gay?’ And even though he was 6’4”, he came over to me, curled up in my lap and just sobbed and sobbed. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life, actually.”
This is my mom’s friend, Noemi Gonzalez (54 years old) who has been missing since February 12th, 2014. She suffers from epilepsy (seizures) and cardiogenic syndrome which is a serious heart defect that can lead to heart failure. She has no known mental illnesses. She was last seen on 2/12/14 at 2:00am by her son. She doesn’t have her car keys, cell phone, or wallet which her family says she would never leave home without and they haven’t had any contact with her whatsoever since shes been missing!! Obviously it’s not very good that she’s been missing for three weeks and I was just told this a couple days ago. Please reblog this and help spread the word around, it takes one second to reblog and hopefully Noemi will be found!! Thank you, guys! :)
i love miranda SO much. the time in my life before she and i were friends was time wasted. she is such a positive force on this godforsaken website and that is sooo valuable. gah.
When asked if he’d ever considered casting a trans actress for Dallas Buyer’s Club, director Jean-Marc Vallée said, “Never. Is there any transgender actor? To my knowledge — I don’t know one. I didn’t even think about it”.
When assured that yes, of course there are trans actors, Vallée replied, “Which ones? There’s like five, or three, or what — two? I never thought of that. I never thought of hiring a real rodeo guy to play the rodeo Ron Woodruff. And just like in every film — we’re actors, we’re directors. I’m not aiming for the real thing. I’m aiming for an experienced actor who wants to portray the thing.”
